I'm Horrified

I was horrified when I came in here and saw how long it's been since I updated my blog. I can see that I'm not good at blogging what with Facebook and all.

The image here is a new style I've been working on for my digital images. I've been busy in my photography world.

Brad has been busy with Whirlpool groups and families.

The gardens are needing our attention in preparation for winter. We are shooting lots of senior and family sessions right now.

One thing I would like to mention is our Oct. to Thanksgiving special for the Manna Food Pantry: Your $30 session fee will be totally donated to the Food Pantry and you will receive a free 8x10 print for yourself. All session fees paid by Nov. 3rd are eligible for a 50% match by the Mecosta County Community Foundation. So I am hoping the community will help provide food for families.

It is Sunday and a glorious day off . I'm so grateful for all my blessings and will be happily back to work tomorrow. Lots of work scheduled and lots of challenging new ideas to try out.

Spring Energy

It's too soon to look for the first daffodil and tulip sprouts, but it sure is on my mind. I do have some amaryllis that I brought in from cold storage and they will be blooming soon. Fresh flowers get me going. We've been busy here at the studio getting ready to launch our new website, booking weddings for the 2010 season and shooting probably close to the last of the 2010 seniors. There always is a little flurry of seniors that still want pictures for graduation and open house. Time to start getting some exercise...one more thing that the portrait gardens give us. We have a garden tour coming in this June so lots of planning to do.

Winter at the Studio

The January thaw is coming to an end and we are about to enter a new cold/snowy spell. The snowmobilers and ski resorts are excited to see the return of snow...me? I'm happy to be inside working feverishly on our new website and facebooking. Hoping to have our website launch in early April!

We're making plans for a spring shoot for a cute little girl who loves her truck and getting in the mud and I'm designing a wedding album for Lindsey and Nick. Hmmm, do I have that computer, blurry-eyed look? I think maybe.
